Shane Dottenwhy

Shane has joined forces with his father, Kevin, and will be running the Colorado location of Dottenwhy Financial Group, LLC.  With his vast experience, diverse expertise, and dedication in business operations and financial management, he is well-positioned to help clients navigate their financial futures.

Shane proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2003 - 2007 and completed two combat tours to Iraq with 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines. It was there that it was instilled in him a strong sense of duty, discipline and leadership that he applies to every aspect of his work at Dottenwhy Financial Group. After the Marine Corps, Shane attended Metropolitan State University of Denver and began his transition into the financial industry after graduating with a B.S in Finance.

Most recently, Shane served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a family-owned business for nearly a decade. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing financial operations, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. His ability to streamline financial processes, improve profitability, and implement sound fiscal strategies helped the business in many ways.

Shane is dedicated to helping individuals and businesses achieve financial security and wellbeing by providing clear, actionable advice and cultivating long-term relationships based on trust and integrity. He focuses on developing financial strategies that align with his clients' goals and values.

Outside of work, Shane is passionate about his family.  He is married and has three boys keeping him busy in youth sports. He is active in community service, mentorship, and supporting Veterans’ causes. His commitment to helping others is reflected both in his work and in his active participation in charitable organizations and initiatives.
